One-stop air freight handling by AIRCARGO BREMEN

Thanks to fast and efficient workflows, City Airport Bremen has developed into an important player in the logistics business. With more than 100 employees working in ground traffic services and logistics, the Bremen airport offers special advantages to its customers. All relevant partners in the logistics system are united under one roof: air freight forwarders, airlines, customs offices and the cargo division of the City Airport Bremen. Close interaction among the players guarantees fast and efficient processing. Full service offered by AIRCARGO BREMEN  includes customs clearance, freight manifesting, handling of hazardous goods, document processing, airway bill issuance, assembly and disassembly of ULDs (Unit Load Devices),  loading and unloading of trucks, palletising and depalletising, warehousing of special freight, freight handling and stockpiling consignments.

By the beginning of the 1990s, a new cargo terminal was needed to cope with increasing turnover rates in air freight. The new complex, which opened in 1995, is made up of an office building of 2600 square meters and a logistics hall of 4500 square meters, which contains all equipment required for special handling. Located directly next to the runway, the air freight center has eight docking stations, a covered ULD facility with motorized rolling docks, lift tables, state-of-the-art weighing equipment and refrigerated, heated and isotopic rooms. Storage capacity is 60 10-foot containers. Heavy goods have their own integrated storage area.

Speed, flexibility and customer orientation are indispensable to reliable air freight handling. The cargo division of the Bremen airport has all these points covered.
