Bus tour "Tour de wind"

Bremerhaven

You will be visiting the offshore wind power test station in the north of Bremerhaven rising up to 190 meters in the air.  The three-legged steel construction, which anchors the wind power stations to the seabed, can be seen full size on land: a 500-ton heavy and 30 meters high tripod foundation. On the guided „Tour de Wind“ round tour, which leads you along 20 stations, you will learn a lot about wind energy, the future climate protecting power generation.

River cruise to the Container-Terminal

Enjoy a two hour cruise on board the two-deck motor ship MS "Geestemünde". The cruise takes you through the lock of the New Harbor, passes by the new Kaiserschleuse and along the longest river quay in the world at the container-terminal and finally reaches the wadden sea. Depending on the weather a stop at the seal banks may be done. On the return journey you may take a look of the Weser islands Langlütjen 1 and 2 from the reling.

The Schaufenster Bootsbau gives you a look at the rich traditions surrounding shipbuilding. Each step in the process of building a wooden ship is explained on plaques posted along the way. Exhibits constructed with attention to detail show you how demanding this craft is. You can get close to shipbuilding at the shipbuilding site and children can try it themselves in the Kinderwerft, where they build their own boats and see if they float.
